#51 - We are almost there!

almost there!

We will be opening to let you pick your own blueberries this upcoming Sunday (July the 19th). This year the season will be shorter than usual. Strong winds during the end of May blew away many of the flowers from the plants, therefore reducing the amount of fruits.

At least there is some good news. The blueberries are much bigger than usual since the plants have more energy to invest within the fruits that have survived this year's ordeal.

Hope to see you here! Good day!

#52 - Example of a familly sized basket

Example familly sized basket

Here is a good suggestion from a client : illustrate the content of a family size basket of fruits and vegetables. The following image shows a family basket offered in mid-June.

It contains:

5 pounds of pink and red tomatoes (8-12 tomatoes depending on size)

10 cucumbers (or 20 small cucumbers)

3 liters of strawberries (a format equivalent to 2 quarts)

1 pound of beans (yellow or green)

1 pint of small sweet carrots

1 package of spinach

1 small package of rocket (leaves and flowers)

1 large salad

The contents of a basket delivered at the end of June is a bit more varied. The amount of tomatoes and cucumbers is reduced and we find additional produces like radish, broccoli, garlic flower and shallots.

The variety of produces contained in baskets increases during the season. During the summer other berries will be added, such as blueberries, raspberries of different colors, apples and gooseberries, as well as vegetables such as potatoes, cauliflower, onions and peppers, to name just a few!

#54 - Pick-your-own strawberries

Pick your strawberries

Unfortunately, we will not open for pick-your-own strawberry this year. The cold winter in combination with viruses in strawberry plants in recent years have forced us to destroy some of our strawberry fields. However, we will be open for pick-your-own blueberries in mid-July. Stay tuned for updates!

changes their !

Welcome back to a whole new year! We have had quite a spring and despite the unstable weather we are hard at work trying to get things ready for this summer. Thanks to our new greenhouse, it is currently possible to purchase beans and cucumbers at Drummondville's public market. Within a week or two, our famous ground-grown tomatoes will also be available.

Some of you may have noticed that we have revamped our website once again. After much deliberations, we have decided to embark in the jouney of basket selling, with the hopes of providing our customers with even fresher products then ever before! These baskets will soon be available for purchase under the newly added shop menu. It will also be possible to order various products from us and other local producers as the season develops. More information will be made available soon, so stay tune!

#58 - New Opening Days

Opening Days

The period of abundance may be nearing its end, but there are still plenty of blueberries left if you wish to pick a basket or to finish your winter reserves. In order to give a chance for the fall varieties to ripen, we will be closing 3 days out of 7 (Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday) as of this week.

The opening hours will remain the same, from 8 to 8.

#59 - Pick-your-own blueberries has begun!

Pick your blueberries begun!

It’s once again picking season for blueberries! Come pick-your-own at our farm and take advantage of our special offer. The more you pick, the less it cost per the pound.

For those who desire to pick large quantities (20lbs and more), we advise you to wait another week. By doing so, there will be more ripe blueberries and they will therefore be easier to harvest.

We look forward to seeing you here!

(PS: Cash only)
