Cabbage and tomato soup

Delicious and nutritious, this recipe is quickly made and easy to do. A bit of spices are added to compliment the flavour of the cabbages.

  1. 2 teaspoon of olive oil
  2. 2 teaspoon of butter
  3. 2 onions, minced
  4. 1 garlic clove, minced
  5. ½ teaspoon of corriander (optional)
  6. ½ teaspoon of fennel seeds (optional)
  7. ¼ teaspoon of cumin (optional)
  8. 5 cups of cubed cabbages
  9. 2 cups of fresh tomatoes
  10. 4 cups of chicken broth
  11. Sel et poivre au goût

Melt butter with the oil in a pot. Add onions and garlic with the spices. Cook 5 minutes. Add cabbage, tomatoes, and broth. Bring to a boil over medium heat and simmer 25 minutes.
